• This is the first study analysing the unintentional injury prevention activities of childrens centres.

 • There is a wide variation in the priority accorded to child

unintentional injuries and the prevention activities undertaken by

different childrens centres.

• Childrens centres may need support if they are to fulfil their child unintentional injury prevention roles.
